S N A F U

This is a Poster I made to explain who I am as an Artist, Graphic Designer, and portray a  deeper look into my life.

I  was a Military Brat my whole life and I was constantly moving- living out of boxes every 3 to 4 years- and starting my life over and over again. The only thing that was a constant in my life was my love and admiration for Art. Art kept me grounded each time I moved and it is something that has always made me happy, having an ability to exhibit my feelings about my ever-changing life. The acronym S.N.A.F.U. is a sarcastic Military term my parents used to say when I was  younger. I never understood it then, but  as I grew older I was able to understand and identify with it! It means- System Normal: All F****d Up. I thought it was a perfect representation for the life of a Military Brat. Moving around became a normal occurrence but it was still very difficult to have to say farewell to people and places I'd grown to admire: hence it's normal for things to be "all f****d up".

But beyond the moving and starting over, I was exposed to so many different things growing up, and I was able to adapt and strive in challenging places. I can't help but feel thankful to have been a Military Brat.

The lower images are different variations of the poster devised before I decided on the final image above.
